Upon joining, you will receive access to our group on our online member site, a monthly newsletter, member roster, and calendar of events.
Meet & Mingles – Once a month, the club holds a business meeting open to all members. We will occasionally have a guest speaker. Our meetings allow moms the chance to socialize with other moms. Children are always welcome to attend. We will have childcare provided or you may also choose to have your child stay with you. Please email our Membership VP for the meeting location and time.
Playgroups – Our playgroups meet once a week either at a member's house, local park, museum, or other public location. Playgroups are generally grouped according to age, however, siblings may always attend. Any mom wishing to participate in a playgroup is given host information and the age ranges for each group.
Mom’s Night Out – Once a month, members are invited out to an evening out without the children as a way to unwind and interact with other moms. Nursing children may always attend. Some past events have included a winery tour, pottery painting, dining out, bowling, and spa treatment.
Support Services – Offering meals, childcare, or household services to our member families who have just had a baby or are experiencing a family emergency.
Community Service Projects - Each year we complete at least one community service project benefiting children. In recent years, we have supported organizations that serve foster children and their families as well as Northwest Children's Outreach.
Leadership Opportunities - MOMS Club offers leadership opportunities for its members. Playgroup or activity coordinators, board positions -- inquire with any board member for details!
Field Trips - Occasionally we offer field trips to a common place of interest during the day. Generally, all ages are accommodated when possible. Great outings have included the Portland Zoo, Children's Museum, OMSI, local pumpkin patch, or U-Pick Berry Farm.
Parties - These are get-togethers to simply have fun or to celebrate a holiday or season. Parties are usually held at a member’s home or local church and are pot-luck and/or require a small donation. Parties often consist of activities, crafts, lunch, and lots of play time.
Family Night/Couple's Night - Occasionally, our club is permitted to have a family night or couple's night in addition to the MOMS Night Out.
We rely on our members to host activities to meet the needs of our moms. You may come to as many or as few of the monthly activities as you’d like. It’s all up to you! Examples of some of these events are:
